About POD-R

Hi.

My name is Shawn Abel. I'm the Owner/Artist at AndAbel Art and Design in Billings, MT where I make art, and things with art. One of the things I make with art is called POD-R or Print-On-Demand Revolution. I created POD-R to be a Simple Solution for Small Business Owners and an Amazing Fundraising Tool for Schools and other Non-Profit Organizations.

I actually started my art career by designing t-shirts for the Football and Wrestling teams I was on in High School. After I graduated, I got my first real jobs working at a Screen Printing company and running Embroidery Machines. Since then I've had a varied career in the arts that functioned like a 20+ year education culminating here.

One of the most important employees, yet lowest paid for some reason, at any art based business for decades, I trudged along learning new skills while raising my kids. Once I had successfully raised my two sons, I felt a freedom to pursue my art career independently and started https://andabelart.com. I sell Original Artwork, Portrait Paintings, and Professional Commercial Graphic Design along with a host of Silly Products I've created.

I created POD-R because I also wanted a way to utilize the advances in merchandise production to help other Small Businesses as well as create a way to use art to benefit others - giving back is important to me.

I've worked in Screen Printing and Embroidery shops in the past, and I realized why the decades old structure of those industries was burdensome for People with Small Businesses or who are just starting out, and is extremely limiting and risky as a Fundraising Option.

Having used Print-On-Demand to sell Silly T-shirts for nearly a decade, I knew this new production method was a Revolution in the industry that could be used to level the playing field for Small Businesses while also Eliminated the Risks as a Fundraising Option. It had the added benefit of unchaining the creative vision of an artist like myself.

I've seen Small Business Owners walk into T-shirt Shops and get deflated when they hear, "The Design Fee is $X, the Screen Fees are $Y/screen, and we don't really do a couple - we do a couple dozen or nothing at all." • Step 1: Organizations select the size of shop they want. This determines both the number of items that will be available for sale to their potential customers, and the percentage of profits the organization keeps after the sale.


• Step 2:
 POD-R makes custom designs for the products that you've selected and hosts them on a Shop Page on this website.
• Step 3: Organizations spread the word to their Potential Customers who come to their Shop and make purchases.
• Step 4: Sold Products are then produced and shipped directly to the Customer.
• Step 5: Organizations then get between 80-90% of the profits.
